Welcome & Goodbye
The Welcome & Goodbye module lets your bot automatically send customized messages when members join or leave your server. You can configure each event independently with its own channel, plain-text message, and rich embeds, so you can greet newcomers and acknowledge departures in a way that fits your community. Welcome messages can also carry an image card with the new member’s avatar and name.
Welcome Messages On/Off
Whether the bot sends a message when a new member joins the server. Welcome messages are on by default, but nothing is posted until you pick a welcome channel and save. The switch in the page header turns welcome AND goodbye messages on or off together (saved as soon as you click it); this toggle turns just the welcome message on or off and is saved with the Save button.
Welcome Channel
The text channel where the welcome message will be posted whenever someone joins. Only text channels are shown in the dropdown.
Send After Verification
Holds the welcome message until the member passes Verification, so it greets people who actually get in instead of everyone who shows up. It only applies while the Verification module is on and set up (a verification channel and a verified role); otherwise the welcome is sent on join as usual. Each join is welcomed once — verifying again later doesn't repeat it. Members who take more than 7 days to verify (for example existing members clicking Verify when you first set it up) aren't welcomed, and neither are accounts the Security module is acting on.
Welcome Message Content
The message the bot sends when a member joins — compose it as plain text, a rich embed, or both. You can use template variables (e.g. {user.mention}) to personalize the message for each new member.
Welcome Card
An image Diski draws for every new member — their avatar and name on one of three designs (Aurora, Clean or Bold) in your accent colour — and sends with the welcome message. If the message has an embed, the card becomes the embed's image (replacing any image set there); otherwise it is posted under the text. The card is free for every server. Diski needs the Attach Files permission in the welcome channel; whenever a card can't be made (a missing permission, a burst of joins during a raid, a temporary problem), the welcome message is sent exactly as it would be without one. The dashboard preview is a close approximation of the final image.
Welcome Card Text
Up to three lines: a title (80 characters), a subtitle (150, wrapped over at most two lines) and a caption shown as a small badge (80). Card text has its own variables with single braces: {user} is the member's display name, {username} their username, {server} the server name and {memberCount} the member count (e.g. 1,234). A line left empty is left off the card, and text that doesn't fit is shortened with an ellipsis. The card's font can't draw emoji or scripts such as Chinese or Japanese; those characters are left out, and a name made only of them is replaced by the member's username.
Custom Card Background (Premium)
With Premium you can put your own image behind the welcome card. Upload the image to any channel in Discord, right-click it, choose Copy Link and paste the link (it starts with https://cdn.discordapp.com/ or https://media.discordapp.net/). When you press Save, Diski downloads the image once and keeps its own copy, so the card keeps working after Discord's link expires. PNG, JPG and WebP images up to 6 MB are accepted, at least 64 pixels on each side and at most 4096 pixels on the longest side and 12 megapixels in total (for example 4000 × 3000); wide images around 1024 × 320 look best, and the image is cropped to fill the card. The design you picked adds a tint so the text stays readable. If Premium ends, your image is kept and the card uses the built-in design until Premium is back; you can remove the image at any time.
Goodbye Messages On/Off
Whether the bot sends a message when a member leaves or is removed from the server. Goodbye messages are on by default, but nothing is posted until you pick a goodbye channel and save. The switch in the page header turns welcome AND goodbye messages on or off together (saved as soon as you click it); this toggle turns just the goodbye message on or off and is saved with the Save button.
Goodbye Channel
The text channel where the goodbye message will be posted whenever someone leaves. Only text channels are shown in the dropdown.
Goodbye Message Content
The message the bot sends when a member leaves — compose it as plain text, a rich embed, or both. Template variables such as {user.tag} let you include the departing member's information.
