Temp Voice
Temp Voice gives every member their own voice channel on demand. Pick one or more hub channels (for example "➕ Join to create"): when someone joins a hub, Diski creates a fresh voice channel for them, moves them in and posts a control panel in the channel's text chat. The owner can rename it, set a member limit, lock or hide it, permit or block people and hand it over — and Diski deletes the channel automatically a few seconds after the last person leaves. Free for every server.
Temp Voice
The switch on the status card at the top of the page — Temp Voice is on by default, and the switch saves the moment you click it. While it is on but no hub channel is picked, nothing happens yet: pick a hub to get it going. While it is off, joining a hub does nothing and the control panels stop responding; channels that already exist are still deleted once they empty. The settings stay visible while it is off — changing one asks you to turn Temp Voice on first. Changes reach the bot within about 15 seconds.
Hub Channels
The voice channels members join to get their own channel. Free servers can have 1 Temp Voice hub; Premium raises that to 5. A hub is just a normal voice channel; Diski moves people out of it as soon as their channel is ready, so it normally stays empty. Each member owns one channel at a time: joining a hub again takes them back to the channel they already own, and a channel can't be transferred to (or claimed by) someone who already owns one. To stop join-and-leave spam, a member can create at most one channel every 10 seconds, and a server at most 10 channels a minute — anyone still waiting in the hub when that time is up gets their channel then. A server can have up to 50 temporary channels open at once.
Category
Where new channels are created. Leave it empty to use the category of the hub the member joined. New channels copy the category's permissions, so a category only verified members can see stays that way. A Discord category holds at most 50 channels — when it is full, Diski can't create more there and posts a warning in the hub's chat.
Channel Name
The name new channels get, up to 100 characters. {user} is the owner's display name in your server, {username} their Discord username and {count} the lowest free channel number (1, 2, 3 …). The preview shows the result with your own name. When Remember settings is on and an owner has renamed a channel before, their own name is used instead. If ownership is transferred while the channel still has its automatic name, it is renamed for the new owner.
Member Limit
How many people can be in a new channel at once — 0 means no limit, the maximum is 99. Owners can change it from the control panel.
Bitrate
Audio quality for new channels. Same as the hub channel copies the hub's bitrate. Higher bitrates need server boosts (128 kbps from level 1, 256 kbps from level 2, 384 kbps at level 3); if you pick more than your server allows, Diski uses the highest it can.
Owner Controls
The buttons on the control panel. Rename (Discord allows 2 renames per channel every 10 minutes — Diski tells the owner when they can rename again), Limit, Lock (nobody new can join except permitted members and staff), Hide (only permitted members and staff can see the channel), Permit (members who can always see and join), Block (disconnects members and stops them seeing or rejoining the channel) and Transfer & claim (hand the channel to someone in it, or take it over once the owner has left). Turn a control off to remove its button; panels already posted refuse it.
The Control Panel
Diski posts the panel in the voice channel's built-in text chat as soon as the channel is created. Only the owner — or staff with the Manage Channels permission — can use it; everyone else gets a private "not yours" reply. If the owner leaves, anyone still in the channel can press Claim to become the new owner. Staff can always reach a temporary channel: members with Manage Channels, Move Members or Timeout Members can't be blocked, and locking or hiding a channel never shuts out the roles that give them those permissions (unless the category itself does). Administrators and the server owner can't be blocked either, since channel permissions don't apply to them.
Remember Settings
When on, Diski remembers what each owner changes on their own channel — name, member limit, lock, hide and their permitted and blocked members — and applies it the next time they create a channel in this server. Changes a moderator makes are not remembered for the owner. Turn it off to give every new channel the defaults above; saved settings are kept and come back if you turn it on again.
Automatic Cleanup
A temporary channel is deleted about 5 seconds after the last person leaves (bots don't count); if a person joins within those seconds, it stays — a bot joining doesn't keep it. When Diski restarts it checks every channel it created, deletes the ones that emptied or were removed while it was away, and creates channels for anyone waiting in a hub.
Permissions Diski Needs
Manage Channels (create and delete channels), Move Members (move people into their channel and disconnect blocked members) and Manage Roles (give the owner their permissions on a new channel; lock, hide, permit and block change the channel's permissions). New installs grant Administrator, which covers all three. If one is missing, Diski posts a warning in the hub's chat or explains it on the control panel instead of failing silently.
